First off, finding the place is interesting. It's in side, the market in the back in the food court. We had a very nice gentleman who we asked where it was and he said oh yes, yes inside and took us there. The food was pretty good. Your order at the counter, and then they bring it out to you. Very traditional Korean street/market food.
I come to the market about once a month and always come to Nak Won because the food is delicious. But last time I came, I ordered stone pot bibimbap and I was disappointed. Rice was hot, but all the toppings (including meat!) were cold. Hopefully it was a one-time thing. I am still planning on coming back.
This is located inside a food court area attached to an asian grocery store. We were driving through town, and intended to stop by the dumpling place next door (also in the food court), though they were closed. Nak Won looked good, so we went for it. We had bibimbap, and a beef-bone soup. I'd skip the soup, but the bibimbap was excellent. Everyone was served 3 or 4 banchan, which were good.
Still eating there 15 years later. There seem to be new owners and while we miss the friendly faces of the previous owners, the food has stayed fairly consistent. The menu has slightly changed but the food is great. This restaurant is inside PalDo.
The food here is delicious. I've been getting the pork bone soup and it's quite delicious especially on cold wet days. They give Korean banchan (sides) like kimchi, fish cakes, and Radish salad. They also have really tasty spicy pork. The service is great. You pick a table and they bring your food out to you. It's a quiet food court located at Paldo World. Come out and eat delicious authentic Korean food in Korea Town (Tacoma).
